Thomas D. Weaver, 55, of McClure, PA one of the greatest fly-fisherman to ever step foot in the waters of Penns Creek is now fishing the stream of Living Waters with his heavenly Father as of October 14, 2019.
Tom was born May 14, 1964 in Lewistown, Pa to William W. Weaver, Jr and the late, Peggy Weaver of McClure, Pa. He was the youngest of four children. Tom married Holly (Stuter) Weaver in 1994 and stepped up to the role of helping raise her son, Tyler Rupert. Tom had a personal relationship with Jesus and was a member of New Life Church. He not only worked at Philips Ultrasound for 35+ years but made many friends there also until his health prevented him from working anymore. Tom loved to read his bible, pray for others, hear the squeal of the reel while fly-fishing, climb up the tree for hunting that whitetail buck, fire up the chainsaw to cut wood for heat in the winter months, grow organic vegetables in the garden and spend time with family and friends, laughing and being joyful. In his younger years he enjoyed playing in softball leagues. He was a loving and caring person, a devoted husband, a very special “Poppy” and a trusted friend to many.
Along with his wife of 25 years, he is survived by his son, Tyler Rupert and companion, Kara Hunter of Reedsville, Pa; along with his two grandchildren, Gage and Brin Rupert. Also survived by his father, William W. Weaver, Jr. His siblings, Peggy Davis and husband, Robert of Renovo, Pa; William M. Weaver and wife, Pam of McClure, Pa; Jon Weaver and wife, Kelly of Shunk, Pa; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
He was cared for dearly by his aides Heather and Hollie through Angels Among Us.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 18, 2019 at New Life Church in Burnham, Pa with Pastor John Walters officiating. Guests are invited to attend a reception in his honor in the church cafe immediately following the service. Interment will be private at Mount Rock Cemetery, Lewistown, Pa.
The Barr Funeral Home and Crematory, 120 Logan St. Lewistown, Pa 17044 will be entrusted with these arrangements.
To honor Tom's request, there will be no public viewing.
