Obituary

Ronald L. Kauffman, 88, of Lewistown, passed away at 8:29 a.m. on Monday August 5, 2019 at his home.
Born March 16, 1931, in Mifflin County, he was the son of the late Walter and Edith (Wagner) Kauffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele R. Kauffman on January 12, 2017, and a brother, William Kauffman.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca (Heaps) Kauffman, whom he married on July 28, 1961, a brother, Robert Kauffman and wife Shirley, sister-in-law, Marilyn Kauffman, God-Grandson, Nicholas Shreffler, and a close family friend, Joelle Gilbert.
Ronald was enlisted in the United States Air Force.
He was employed at The American Viscose Corporation for 48 years, retiring in 1996.
Ronald was a Methodist by faith.
He was a lifetime member of the NRA, an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved his dog, Danny.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of The Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ronald’s memory are respectfully encouraged to: Family Hospice, 129 S. Main Street, Lewistown PA 17044.
