Born February 13, 1930 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Vera (Mann) Green._
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. “Buck” Searer on November 8, 1997; a sister, Erma Snyder and a brother, Thomas Green.
Peg is survived by her children, Sandra Wilson and husband Joe of Reedsville; Daniel Lee Searer and wife Cheryl of AZ; Janna Lynch and husband Tim of Harrisburg; Steven Lee Searer and wife Victoria of Lewistown; grandchildren, Carena Barlett and Brian of McClure; Aaron Dillon and Megan of Georgia; Ty Lynch of Harrisburg; Thad Lynch of Harrisburg; Noah Wright of Lewistown and her great grandchildren, Sidney Barlett, Dillon Barlett and Charlie Dillon.
She is also survived by her siblings, Wanda Gable of Lewistown; Dorothy Krepps of Lewistown and Ronald Green and wife Edna of Burnham.
Peg had been employed at the Arrow Shirt Factory and Brandywine.
She was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church.
Peg’s greatest love was her family. Her life was dedicated to them, their families and any activities they participated in. If she wasn’t at the field or in the gym, she was watching on TV or listening to them on the radio. She was a Penn State and Steelers fan, but more so a fan of any team her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a part of. Her dedication to her family has left a lasting legacy.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2019 at Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Highland Avenue, Lewistown with Pastor Rachel Horst and Pastor Thomas Morningstar officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be a time of visitation with the family Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Barr Funeral Home and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
Memorial contributions in Peg’s memory are respectfully requested to Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Highland Avenue, Lewistown, PA 17044 or R.O.F.F., 133 North Walnut Street, Burnham, PA 17009.
