Joseph K. Watson, Jr., 76, of Lewistown, passed away at 11:26 p.m. on Thursday February 14, 2019 at Geisinger-Holy Spirit Hospital.
Born July 9, 1942 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Joseph K. and Sadie M. (Weyman) Watson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Watson.
Joseph will be remembered and missed by his loving wife, Wanda (Moyer) Watson whom he married 45 years ago on March 14, 1974, also surviving are his children, Christopher Watson of Lewistown, and Tammy Hynicker and companion Ian Carlson of Lancaster, Grandchildren, Heather Knepp and husband Lee, and Aaron Folk and wife Chelsea, Great-Grandchildren, Rayna Folk, and Haylee Folk, sister-in-law, Bonita Watson, nieces, Angela Smith and husband Mike, and Kari Watson, and his loving dog, Cuddles.
Joseph was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a member of the Lewistown Moose Lodge No. 143, and in his free time, he enjoyed bowling, racing, NASCAR, and solving puzzles.
A memorial service in loving memory of Joseph will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday February 18, 2019, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home Chapel, 276 Green Ave., Lewistown PA 17044. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
Military Honors will be accorded by VFW Post 7011 at graveside.
