Mary “Penny” Demo, 90, formerly of Virginia, passed away on Thursday May 9, 2019 at Valley View Haven Retirement Community, Belleville, Pennsylvania
Born April 24, 1929, in Albion, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Teresa Penasack. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James R. Demo, a step-child, Jimmy Demo, and a sister Rita Hahn.
Mary will be remembered and missed by her loving daughter, Anne Demo, and step-daughter, Joan Bodnar, a brother, John Penasack and wife Sharron, and Grandchildren, Michael Demo, Devon Dorney, and Noah Demo.
Mary was employed at the Speech Communication Association as an editor.
She was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Church in Vienna, Va, and a member of The Dunn Loring Civic Association. In her free time, she enjoyed playing piano, gardening and crossword puzzles.
A private graveside service in loving memory of Mary will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in loving memory of Mary are respectfully encouraged to: Valley View Haven Retirement Community, 4702 E Main St, Belleville, PA 17004.
